🚨 Arsenal survive late Watford scare to win five-goal thriller and move fourth

Arsenal moved fourth in the English Premier League with a 3-2 win over Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday afternoon.

The Hornets flew off the blocks first and scored inside the first minute through Emmanuel Dennis, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

The scoreline changed minutes later in favor of the visitors as Martin Ødegaard finished off a near-perfect team move.

The lead however lasted five minutes as the Hornets equaled in the 11th minute through Cucho’s stunning bicycle kick.

Arsenal ensured they lead at halftime after Bukayo Saka robbed Tom Cleverley of possession 25-yards from goal, played a neat one-two with Alexandre Lacazette before rifling high into the roof of Ben Foster’s net.

Another flawless move in the second half saw the Gunners extend their lead when Gabriel Martinelli scored yet another stunning goal into the top net.

Dennis missed a chance to pull one back for the hosts midway through the second half, but they got a consolation late on as the match ended 3-2.

The win ensured the Gunners strengthened their UEFA Champions League bid as they moved into the top four while inflicting an eighth successive home PL defeat on the ‘Hornets’.
