Manchester City moved closer to the English Premier League title after they thumped Wolves 5-1 on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s side were under pressure to respond to Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night, and they did it in style.
Kevin de Bruyne stole the show before a fully-packed Molineux Stadium, scoring four, including a 24-minute hat-trick.
He opened the scores after just seven minutes, latching onto a precise Bernado Silva ball to easily beat the keeper from a tight angle.
His second was a deflected shot in, moments after the hosts had leveled through Leander Dendoncker.
The Belgian then unleashed an unstoppable shot midway through the half to give the champions a 3-1 lead going into the break, before adding a fourth in the second period.
Raheem Sterling scored a fifth late on as they put the Wolves to the sword with yet another scintillating performance.

The win took them three points clear of Liverpool, who sit second, with two matches to go.
As it stands, City only need four more points to guarantee top spot, and can move to the brink this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are in FA Cup final action against Chelsea on Saturday,24 hours later, Guardiola takes his side to seventh-placed West Ham United.
City edged past the Hammers 2-1 when the teams met in the reverse fixture, and another triumph would leave them with one hand on the trophy.
Liverpool will next be in action in the Premier League at Southampton on Tuesday, 17 May, in a match they may have to win to prevent City being crowned champions that night.
