🏟 Bayern vs RB Salzburg
Salzburg’s spirited display in the first leg will give them plenty of confidence ahead of their trip to Bavaria to face giants Bayern Munich. Bayern drew 1-1 at the weekend against in-form Leverkusen, meaning that they’ve only kept one clean sheet in their last seven matches across all competitions.
Bayern is missing the dynamism and direct running of Leon Goretzka from midfield and Alphonso Davies from left-back, both will miss this tie. Salzburg has a long injury list to contend with themselves and although they have the talented Karim Adeyemi (15 league goals & three in the Champions League this term) in their ranks, Bayern’s extra class and pedigree will tell in a high-scoring encounter.
Salzburg kept just one clean sheet in the group stage and scored in five of their six matches, so they’re certainly not a conservative side.

🏟 Liverpool vs Inter
Liverpool is unbeaten in 15 (W12-D3-L0) and has suffered only two defeats across all competitions in 2021-22. Klopp’s men have won all seven of their Champions League matches this term too. Fortress Anfield plays host to Italian champions Inter here with Liverpool holding a commanding 2-0 first-leg aggregate lead.
This leaves Simone Inzaghi’s visitors with very few options but to go hell for leather from the first whistle, a tactic that might play right into Liverpool’s counter-attacking ways. There have been some incredible turnarounds in Champions League history, but don’t expect one here.
Lautaro Martínez ended a 646-minute goal drought with a hat-trick against Salernitana at the weekend in Serie A, and five of his six career UCL goals have come away from home, so he’ll pose a threat.
