The Italian Serie A is once again a closely contested affair this season, with rivals AC Milan and Inter Milan set to battle it to the last match.
Inter moved top of the standings following their 4-2 win over Empoli on Saturday, but AC Milan responded in a similar fashion, beating Verona 3-1 away on Sunday evening.
There’s everything to play for in the last two matches, with any slip-up from any of the two sides set to most likely cost them the title.

Champions League spots
Four teams have already confirmed their places at next season’s Champions League. The two Milan clubs have been joined by Napoli and Juventus.
- AC Milan – 80 Points
- Inter Milan – 78 Points
- Napoli – 73 Points
- Juventus – 69 Points
Relegation
The battle for survival is a similarly close contest at the other end of the table.
Salernitana boosted their hopes of escaping the ax when they held fellow relegation-threatened side Cagliari to a 1-1 draw on Sunday evening.
They will however have to win their remaining two matches, against Empoli and Udinese, while praying Spezia, ahead of them with three points, slip up.
