Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski moved top of the UEFA Champions League scoring charts thanks to his hat-trick against RB Salzburg on Tuesday night.
The 33-year-old scored Bayern’s opening three goals in a 7-1 rout of the Austria side as they qualified for the quarter-finals.
Prior to Tuesday night’s clash at the Allianz Area, the Polish international was behind Ivory Coast international Sebastien Haller, who has taken the competition by storm in his first season.
Haller became the first player to score in each of his first seven Champions League matches, and his current tally stands at 11.
Third on the list are Karim Benzema and Mohamed Salah, who all scored eight goals each.
Benzema was the star of the show as Madrid saw off PSG 3-1 on Wednesday night to send his side into the last four.
