Juventus loanee Aaron Ramsey was delighted with his Rangers debut on Sunday.
The Welshman is on loan at the Scottish giants for the rest of the season.
Ramsey came on for the final 14 minutes of a comfortable 5-0 win over Hearts.
“It was a good one to come in on,” said Ramsey.
“I’m just so happy. Hopefully I can play much more now and get going. There is a lot of talent in this team and I just want to fit right into it. I’m delighted to be here and excited by it all.
“We have got a plan of how I am going to get fit. The idea was to get 15 or 20 minutes here but it was just good to be back out there. It’s my first match since November and I just want to progress nicely. I am always excited to get that opportunity and I haven’t played a lot recently.
“I was itching to get on and I kept looking over because the warm up had gone on for a bit! Eventually we got the nod to get on. I keep saying it but I was so happy to get on. I can really kick on from here and progress over the next few weeks.”
